How to boost your energy

Hello guys! The topic of this post is "healthcare". I was thinking what to write about and I found great article about energy. I think that healthy lifestyle is quite related to healthcare, so my today´s post is "Healthy ways to boost your energy". I hope you´ll enjoy it.


Nowadays, many people have ovestressed lifestyle and they are exhausted almost all the time. They drink e.g. energy drinks and they think it will boost their energy, but these drinks just mask the symptoms of fatigue(=tiredness) and they also dehydrate the body.
A long-term fatigue decreases the immune system and we can be easily depressed or we can have some ilness. It is important to exercise, sleep and reduce stress, but eating habits are important too. So it´s time to tell you about the ways to boost your energy by nutrition.


1) Drink water
Being hydrated is an easy and inexpensive way to increase energy. Keep a bottle of water with you all the time and drink it throughout the day. You can add lemons, limes or oranges for better taste.

2) Eat breakfast
Breakfast is really important and you shouldn´t skip it. Pick healthy food like for example whole-grain cereals or oatmeal with fruit, whole-grain toast with natural peanut butter, etc.

3)Protein
Not consuming enough protein can be a reason for fatigue. Protein takes longer than carbohydrates to break down in the body, so it is a longer-lasting source of energy. You can find it in fishes, meat, nuts, milk, yogurt, eggs, cheese, tofu, etc.

4) Carbs
Carbohydrates are a source of fuel for your body, but you should pick the right ones, Choose whole grains like cereal, brown rice and whole wheat bread instead of sweets or white bread.

5) Eat snacks
You should eat snacks to keep your energy between main meals. Snacks also prevent overeating at mealtimes. You can pick yogurt with fruit, veggies or nuts.

6) Omega-3 fatty acids
These are important for good memory, mood and they also reduce depression. Great sources are salmon, tuna, walnuts, seeds, etc.

7) Magnesium
It´s a mineral important for converting carbohydrates into energy. You can find it in almonds, walnuts, whole grains and dark green vegetables.
